Designed to be used in a marine environment.

If you are networking two of these products, you will require two AS EC QDE cables plus one of our Ethernet cables
If you are networking one HELIX 7 G2N Series, HELIX 9 Series, HELIX 10 Series, HELIX 12 CHIRP Series,  7x8 HD Series, 8x9ci HD Series, 9x9ci HD Series, or 11x9ci HD Series product with a pre-2014 8x8, 9x8 or 11x8 Series product, you will only need one adapter plus one  Ethernet cable
Software updates may be necessary on select 700 series models (7x8 HD), 800 series models (8x8c), 900 series models (9x8c) and 100 series models (11x8c)
